invited with my my mother Margaret Colley to join Federigo
Argentieri on his panel at the Conference. My great-uncle,
Gareth Jones was the first named journalist to expose the
genocide-famine in Ukraine in March, 1933 and suffered for
his bravery in doing so. We have rescued much material
relating to my great-uncle. |

I have been
invited with my son, Nigel Colley to join Federigo
Argentieri on his panel at the Conference. My uncle, Gareth
Jones was the first named journalist to expose the
genocide-famine in Ukraine in March, 1933 and suffered for
his bravery in doing so. We have rescued much material
relating to my uncle. As well, my grandmother, Mrs Annie
Gwen Jones, taught the grandchildren of John Hughes, when
the town was Hughesovka, from 1889-1892 and I have her
recollections of her stay. I wish to make a pilgrimage to
the city of Donetsk as my uncle did in 1930. |
